Myofascial Connections to Pain is to educate the
Myofascial Connections to Pain is to educate the
practitioner on one of the most common complaints that bodywork practitioners will see. The
various locations/types of headaches will be discussed in detail, highly focusing on trigger point
referral patterns and how myofascia is involved. There will also be a big focus on basic and
quick assessment for discovering local soft tissue tightness causing restricted range of motion.
Note that this is part 1 of a pre-planned 2 part series that may turn into more parts. The
practitioner should leave the seminar with greater confidence in understanding these common,
major issues along with how to assess quickly and effectively, as well as treating. The
practitioner should be able to talk to potential clients more confidently.
Each of the three sections will focus on one of the basic range-of-motion assessments,
flexion/extension, lateral flexion, and rotation, associated myofascial trigger points and referral
patterns, fascial anatomy, and probable outcomes from the assessments. The goal is to help the
practitioner treat pain more directly and quickly, engendering confidence in themselves and from
the patient to the practitioner.
One again, this is part 1 of a 2 and potentially multi-part series on headaches. Part 1 will set the
groundwork for part 2 which will focus more on skeletal structure deeper imbalances.
